6m Centre Console

This Centre Console vessel is designed to WA Department of Transport Survey Exempt Vessel specifications, and can be mounted on a dual axel trailer suitable for off road towing with drive on and off launching and retrieving capabilities both at boat ramps and coastal beaches.

This custom Naval Architecture and Marine Solutions (NMS) design includes a large centre console with an open hard top over a fixed screen. The console has an enclosed lockable under compartment large enough to hold one removable Nally bin container and an upper shelf. The centre console is enclosed by two outward opening folding doors. A lockable stowage box is welded into the dash to accommodate mobile phones, log books etc.

The vessel can be fitted with an optional Bimini for additional sun protection aft of the open hard top. The open hardtop includes a sealed overhead compartment above the windscreen for housing radios, with the centre console dashboard housing all engine gauges.

This centre console vessel is also fitted with a built in drainable live catch tank, fitted to the centre line of the vessel. The tank is sized so it can also accommodate five standard size dive cylinders.

A flush hinge door is located on the port side of the transom. The door provides access for divers from the work deck to a marlin board mounted across the stern of the vessel. A sturdy dive ladder is fitted to the marlin board on the port side. Hand rails are fitted to both the port and starboard transom edges, with an additional handrail fitted vertically next to the starboard side of the transom door. The vessel is also fitted either side of the gunwhale with rod holders, which are suitable for accommodating dive flags.

This 6m Monohull Centre Console Vessel was designed as a research vessel. The centre console has combined helmsman / observer seating for two built in, with additional seating built in for two special personnel forward of the console. The centre console design allows for full walk around access to the vessel, and excellent visibility from the helm.

With two different engine options, both will provide maximum propulsion of no less than 30 knots. The centre console design includes a 120 litre diesel under floor fuel tank.

The centre console vessel is designed to be constructed from marine grade aluminium, the vessel measures 6.00m overall, with a beam of 2.50m, and draft of 0.46m. The shallow draft of the design allows the vessel to enter shallow waters, such as canals and bays, whilst also capable of coastal and offshore operations within five nautical miles under survey exempt status.

The team at NMS are experienced at modifying vessels, and designing to meet clients’ wishes. We welcome the opportunity to discuss the options available for your next marine project.
